Training Men and Women for Non-Ordained Ministry

The Presbyterian Theological Centre, Sydney, Australia, trains men and women for ministry in Australia and overseas.

While the denomination which it serves (the Presbyterian Church of Australia) is committed to a pastoral ministry by suitably qualified men, the church and the college are actively exploring roles for women to minister and to use their gifts in teaching God's word and other forms of ministry. This year we started a program specifically for training women, taught by our Dean of Women, Carmelina Read. This has proved attractive with over 30 women enrolled, from different backgrounds and stages of life. The women are enthusiastic about the teaching they are receiving and the mentoring that is part of the program. For further information, contact Dr. John Davies, Principal of the Presbyterian Theological Centre at This email address is being protected from spambots.
