In these days, much of the world is busy watching the World Cup 2018 from Moscow. Others who may read the non-sport news would be hearing much about the Airborne Fire Bombs and Arson Kites in the southern border of Israel in Gaza. However, there are other stories about Israel that you don’t hear in your international news.

National Women's Day is a South African public holiday celebrated annually on 9 August. The day commemorates the 1956 march of approximately 20,000 women to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against the country's pass laws that required South Africans defined as "black" under The Population Registration Act to carry an internal passport, known as a pass, that served to maintain population segregation, control urbanisation, and manage migrant labour during the apartheid era. The first National Women's Day was celebrated on 9 August 1994. In 2006, a re-enactment of the march was staged for its 50th anniversary, with many of the 1956 march veterans.

“Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.”

They carried no particular meaning. As an adult however, they have recently become extremely meaningful--or words very like them.

Many are outraged and many are thrilled.
At the request of the WRF International Director, Dr. Flip Buys, I am sharing a few thoughts about this matter.

The Supreme Court's decision enabling same-sex marriage in all states has gotten much attention, positively and negatively. It will facilitate unbiblical marriages everywhere, and God and his law will be massively mocked. Of course that is very serious. Going ahead, will those opposing this decision be convicted of hate-crime? It is very possible.

When the story of our time is written, and if America ever does turn back from its path toward destruction, it may be that historians will point to June 17, 2015 and the days that followed as the moment when that change began.

Recently a Muslim Imam in Kuwait made a startling admission. Takmeel-e-Pakistan’s candid sermon was posted on the internet. It is worth hearing and considering:

In the middle of April, astronomers announced the discovery of a planet very like the Earth. It’s called Kepler-186f. Not the most romantic of names, but we can forgive that. It’s named after the telescope that discovered it.
