The World Reformed Fellowship Board of Directors wishes to make you aware of the passing of Dr. K. Eric Perrin on Wednesday, April 13.  Known to all as "Rick," he was one of the founding leaders of WRF, serving as chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee from the organization's inception. 

Rick is survived by his wife, Barbara, their three sons and daughters-in-law, and eight grandchildren.  Rick's career in ministry spanned more than 40 years, nearly all of them as senior pastor of congregations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, South Carolina, and New Jersey.  Although Rick retired as a senior pastor nearly two years ago, his ministry continued as an adult ministries teacher at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, PA.    

Rick was not just the long-serving Board chair of the WRF; he was the consummate board chair.  He had the extraordinary ability to run meetings that were both kind-spirited and efficient.  Differing opinions felt heard and given due consideration.  Rick could summarize a discussion and, with a smile and a touch of humor, bring matters to a vote.  Any discord melted away!  The WRF had his full attention and support.  He, with Barbara, shepherded the Board and International Director with prayer, attentiveness, and love-filled tokens of appreciation.  Rick and Barbara together tenderly nurtured this global ministry to maturity.

The WRF Board of Directors thanks the Lord for His gift of the years of Rick Perrin’s leadership.  We miss him very much!

Die Raad van die Wêreld Gereformeerde Gemeenskap (World Reformed Fellowship) wil graag die afsterwe van Dr. K. Eric Perrin op Woensdag 13 April 2016 aan u bekendmaak. Rick, soos almal hom geken het, was een van die stigterslede van WRF. Sedert die stigting van die organisasie in 2000 het hy as voorsitter van die raad en die uitvoerende komitee opgetree.

Hy word oorleef deur sy eggenote Barbara, hulle drie seuns en skoondogters en agt kleinkinders. Rick het meer as veertig jaar as senior predikant in gemeentes in Pennsylvania, Maryland, South Carolina, and New Jersey gedien.

Alhoewel hy twee jaar gelede amptelik geëmeriteer het, was hy tot sy dood steeds aktief betrokke as dosent in klasse vir volwasse lidmate in die Westminster Presbiteriaanse Kerk in Lancaster in Pennsylvania.

Rick was nie slegs die lang dienende voorsitter van die WRF raad nie, maar ‘n uitnemende voorsitter wat ‘n buitengewone vermoë gehad het om vergaderings liefdevol dog ferm te lei.

Lede met verskillende opinies oor sake het gevoel hulle word gehoor en hulle standpunte ernstig oorweeg. Rick kon besprekings goed opsom en dikwels met ‘n glimlag en ‘n tikkie humor die vergadering oor sake wat behoorlik bespreek is laat stem, sodat weggesmelt het. WRF het altyd sy volle aandag en ondersteuning gehad. Hy en sy eggenote Barbara was soos herders vir die internasionale direkteur met hulle gebede, advies en liefdevolle tekens van waardering. Hy en sy eggenote het in baie opsigte die bediening van WRF help lei na groei tot volwassenheid.

Die raad van direkteure van WRF dank die Here vir die gawe van Rick se leierskap. Ons mis hom alreeds.

A Diretoria do World Reformed Fellowship (WRF) comunica o falecimento do Dr. K. Eric Perrin, ocorrido na quinta-feira, 13/04/2016. Conhecido por todos como “Rick”, ele foi um dos líderes fundadores da WRF, servindo como presidente da Diretoria e do Comitê Executivo desde o início.

Rick deixou sua esposa Bárbara, três filhos e noras, e oito netos. Seu ministério durou mais de 40 anos, quase todos eles como pastor sênior de Igrejas na Pensilvânia, Maryland, Carolina do Sul e Nova Jersey. Embora Rick tenha se aposentado como pastor há quase dois anos, o seu ministério continuou como professor no ministério de adultos, na Igreja Presbiteriana de Westminster, em Lancaster,  na Pensilvânia.

Rick não se caracteriza somente por ter sido presidente da junta diretora da WRF, com um longo mandato. Ele foi o presidente por excelência; tinha uma extraordinária capacidade para presidir gentilmente reuniões que eram igualmente eficientes. Opiniões divergentes eram ouvidas e a cada uma delas era dada a devida atenção. Rick sabia resumir uma discussão e, com sorriso e toque de humor, levar os assuntos para votação. Qualquer discórdia desaparecia! A WRF tinha sua total atenção e apoio. Ele, juntamente com sua esposa Barbara, guiou pastoralmente tanto o Conselho de Administração como o Diretor Internacional com oração, atenção e com palavras cheias de amor e de agradecimento. Rick e Barbara, juntos, sustentaram este ministério com ternura e nutriram este ministério global até a sua maturidade atual.

A Junta Diretora da WRF é grata ao Senhor pelos anos de liderança de Rick Perrin. Nós já sentimos a sua falta!

Le Conseil d’Administration de World Reformed Fellowship a le douloureux devoir de vous annoncer le décès du Dr. K. Eric Perrin survenu le mercredi 13 avril 2016. Connu de tous par le surnom de « Rick », il fut l’un des pères fondateurs de WRF, et a servi en tant que  Président du Conseil et du Comité Exécutif depuis la création de l’organisation

Rick laisse sa femme Barbara, leurs trois fils et belles-filles ainsi que huit petits-enfants. La carrière ministérielle de Rick s’est étendue sur plus de 40 ans. Il a servi essentiellement comme Pasteur principal dans des Eglises de Pennsylvanie, du Maryland, de la Caroline du Sud et du New Jersey. Bien que Rick ait pris sa retraite en tant que Pasteur principal il y a deux ans, il a continué son ministère  en animant la catéchèse adulte  à la Westminster Presbyterian Church de Lancaster en Pennsylvanie.

Rick n’a pas seulement servi en tant que Président de WRF, il en a été un Président  chevronné. Il avait ce don extraordinaire de savoir diriger des réunions en alliant à la fois la gentillesse et l’efficacité. A l’écoute de tous il prenait en considération les opinions de chacun. Rick avait cette faculté rare de faire la synthèse judicieuse d’une discussion, et ensuite,  avec un sourire et une pointe d’humour, d’appeler au vote. Tout désaccord se dissipait aussitôt ! Il apportait toute son attention et tout son soutien à WRF. Avec Barbara, ils ont conduit et accompagné le Conseil et le Directeur international par leurs prières, avec prévenance et une appréciation imprégnée d’amour. Rick et Barbara ont ensemble contribué avec affection à la maturité de ce ministère mondial.

The Conseil de WRF remercie le Seigneur d’avoir permis à Rick de diriger cette organisation pendant toutes ces années. Il nous manque déjà!

세계개혁신학협의회는 에릭 페린 박사님(K. Eric Perrin) 께서 4월 13일 수요일에 작고하셨음을 알려 드립니다. 우리 모두에게 릭(Rick)으로 알려진 그는 세계개혁신학협의회(WRF)를 창립한 지도자들 중 한 분이었으며, 이 협의회 시작 때부터 계속 이사회와 실행위원회 의장으로 봉사해오셨습니다.

릭은 아내인 바바라 여사와 새 아들과 며느리들, 여덟 명의 손 자녀를 유족으로 남기셨습니다. 릭은 그의 목회경력이40년 이상이며, 그중 거의  대부분을 펜실바니아, 메릴랜드, 사우스 캐롤라이나와 뉴져지에 있는 교회의 담임목사로 사역하셨습니다. 릭은 2년여전에 목회를 은퇴하셨습니다만, 그는 펜실바니아 주 랜캐스터에 소재한 웨스트민스터 장로교회에서 성인반 성경 교사로 그의 목회사역을 계속하셨습니다.

릭은 세계개혁신학협의회(WRF)의 장기 이사장만은 아니었습니다.  그는 완벽한 이사장이셨습니다. 그는 탁월한 능력을 가지고 모든 회의들을 친절한 정신과 효율적인 것으로 이끌어 오셨습니다. 그는 서로 다른 의견을 충분하게 듣도록 하셨고, 이에 합당한 토의를 하도록 하셨습니다. 릭은 토의 내용을 간략하게 요약해 주셨고, 항상 미소와 유머를 가지고 사안들을 투표에 이르도록 했습니다.  그래서 어떠한 의견의 차이도 녹여버렸습니다. 그는 세계개혁신학협의회(WRF)에 성의를 다하였고 지원해 왔습니다.  그는 바바라와 함께 기도와 친절함과 사랑이 넘치는 감사로 이사회와 국제 총무를 목양해 왔습니다. 그와 바바라는  함께 이 범세계적인 사역을 현재의 성숙에 이르도록 부드럽게 양육해 왔습니다.
